Vittorio Bianchini
Scuba instructor and Diving owner
Vittorio Bianchini dedicated his whole life to the sea, a true love started in his teenager years, that is still part of his everyday life.
As an expert scuba diver, known for his never ending curiosity and enthusiasm, he’s known for his studies and contributions regarding innovations on breathing systems in extreme environments and for the experimentation of new techniques and diving gas mixes.
He collaborated with ESA and leads WASE DivEducation, a diver training organization created with SECTOR Spa. In 1992 he started a technology research project for OCEANIC UK to study closed circuit breathing devices. He provided assistance and training on the use or rebreather devices for the first underwater camera operators, working with National Geographic and BBC.
As a diving instructor with an impressive, long-time experience he developed new training paths for newbies and champions, explorers and scientists alike.
During his career, he met renowned professionals with whom he shared not only credits and scientific contents, but also extreme adventures and remarkable discoveries all around the world.
That’s why in 2016, he created Premio Atlantide: an award for those who protect and safeguard the planet sea.

An award focused on sea conservation, presented to people who dedicated their lives to the sea and protecting the environment.
Sea conservation scientific expedition in the Italian marine protected areas, in partnership with Greenpeace and DAN Internship
Vittorio launched with Greenpeace e DAN a research, environmental, and scientific documentation tour around Italian marine protected areas, along with environmental protection agencies and hyperbaric medicine specialists.
This research produced a report called “Aree marine ai raggi X“, that got extensive press on Italian newspapers and media outlets.
Vittorio also teaches at the hyperbaric medicine master for the University of Padova, as well as teaching decompression, theoretical lessons on rebreather and oxygen.
